March for Babies 10K

So on Saturday I walked with some friends for the March of Dimes. And we had SO much fun! Guess who joined us on the walk?!

I took a lot of pictures and will be posting those soon as well.

But first I need to get my pictures together from the Twilight Movie Weekend. But... but I've been watching Spooks and it's amazing. It's a British show but the US title is MI-5, like we don't know what Spooks are that they need to rename it for us Yanks? Anyways, I'm learning some amazing choice British words and expressions to use. And I've been busy with other stuff. (I know, I know excuses excuses) Ok, ok, I've just been slacking big time!

But anyway, I'm going to post those really soon. But enjoy the early picture! :-) (it's like a teaser poster! LOL)

Beautiful weekend

I had so much fun this weekend on the Twilight Movie Tour!!! (yes it was my second one... shut up I don't judge you!)

And the weather was beautiful, here's a few photos to show you what we had to deal with. Seriously.

The sun and little clouds.... (some may be joyful for this but I'm butt white pale and I prefer the sun behind beautiful cloud coverage)

Ecola State Park View Point (Isn't this beautiful?!):

Indian Beach (the beach that was used as First Beach in the movie):

There was no breeze at the beach... that is so hard to believe for the Oregon Coast. It was such a gorgeous day that it made you think you could actually swim in the water. But then mother nature laughed at you as you got hypothermia from jumping in without a wet suit.

And we learned a valuable lesson, never turn your back on the water. (Which we as Oregonians already know.) Laura stood on a rock to take pictures and the tide was out there a ways (see the first photo of Indian Beach), all of sudden a wave comes in and it keeps coming in... before we knew it the rock Laura was standing on was almost completely covered in water. You tricky ocean!

More awesome pictures to come. Yes, they will be awesome because I got a Pocket Edward for my birthday. OMPE!!

You know....

You know when you've watched too many spy shows / movies when you leave a friend's house and pass a parked truck you think

"They're not going to follow me after I pass them, are they?"

And then after you pass you actually look to see if headlights came on.

Yeah... I think I need help.

HEE HEE....

Gotta love Twilight. (I was crying from laughing so hard. My favorite parts are "You brought a snack" and the very end.)

This also brings me joy... Yay for wicked. (I love the drums and the wizards... you'll see what I mean.

To Do List

Image from Google Images

I have decided that I have SO many unfinished projects that this year will be the year that I finally finish them. I have 11 comic and stories that are unfinished and countless sewing and other craft projects. I believe I'm going to make a to-do list and figure out a time schedule to finish them. By the end of the year I will have my unfinished projects completed.

My first project to finish is the NaNoWriMo story from a few years ago that I never finished. A friend and I have decided that April is our "Finish NaNoWriMo" Month. So by the time April is over I'll have my 50,000 novel.

Wish me luck to completing something!

ARCHERY!!!

Image from Google Images

I'm taking an archery class! I've always wanted to learn.

At first I was horrible. The first two groups 1 out of 3 would always hit the wall. The second group went through the handle of the target to hit the wall. The instructor looked at and it said "That's never happened before." LOL

BUT I got better. None of the other groups hit the wall. My group of arrows got tighter together and by the end of class I was getting closer to the target I was looking at. (We weren't really aiming just yet. He just had us stare at a target.... aiming will come later.)

I really want a bow and arrow now... but I'm also very impulsive. But I can't practice if I don't have a bow and arrow!

Twilight Movie Tour

Back in February I did a Twilight Movie Tour with my friends. We only went to the sites that we knew of but had a blast anyways.

Well in 2 weeks I'll be doing another one. I did more research and I found the missing sites, yay! So this time it'll be a complete tour and I'm so excited!

And this tour will be so awesome because we'll have Edward with us. Edward makes anything funner.

DVD Release Party

Seeing Wicked

And photography class... which is pretty ironic that I don't have any photos of him in photography class. That could be because I was the one making him walk.... Kim I need the photos! :-)

Yay more Avatar the Last Airbender!

During Comic con, I went to the Avatar panel (one of the reasons I wanted to go to Comic Con) and the creators showed us the Book 4 Episode 1 "Forbidden Love" Boy did the room explode! (sorry for the screaming fans.)

You see the creators know what the online communities like shipping wise (i.e. Aang & Katara or Zuko & Katara) and they have seen the fanart online too. (They mentioned that they enjoyed looking at the fanart even if some of it scared them. And I just love how they can make fun of the fans in a loving way. (A lot of fans were Zutara and didn't like KatAang at all!) LOL

I laugh every time I watch this... memories!

Guess what I never finished?

Ok, I know you're having a hard time narrowing it down because there's A LOT of things out there that I haven't finished.

I need to finish the Twilight Movie Tour that I did back in February.... LOL Here's part 2!

Time to go to school:
We had to go two different high schools to get these shots. Madison (OR) was used for biology and cafeteria. Kalama (WA) was used for the outside and parking lot. (we're such dorks... lol)

This is me at Kalama High, I have not yet mastered the self portrait taking with my Holga. But I sure love doing double exposures! So fun!

Prom dress shopping in Port Angeles:
A.k.a St. Helens, OR

Prom time!!:
Up the gorge to Viewpoint Inn.

They have the Twilight Walk of Fame in the area that the gazebo was for the dancing.

And of course my Holga shots. I love the light leaks on this camera!!

And how could we forget our time on the beach when we learned about the Cold ones?
First Beach in La Push, baby, La Push. A.k.a Indian Beach in Oregon
And of course my shots with my Holga at the beach. :-)

PS
Later this month I'm doing another tour (and I found some more places!) but this time around we have Edward accompanying us and we will have amazing and awesome pictures because of him. Yes be afraid.... be very afraid....

Wisdom from someplace I never thought....

I really like What Not To Wear but the original Brits and when the American version started I thought the stylists were rude and made jokes about the people that they were making over and I didn't like that at all.

But I've caught some of the newer episodes and they're not so bad anymore. And I sometimes will have the show on for background noise while I work.

And imagine my surprise when I heard these pearls of wisdom....

"Do you want to blend in and be like everyone else or are you afraid of standing out?"

"You don't see how beautiful you are! You need to look in the mirror and get used to admiring your own beauty and not really getting involved in all of the hang ups that you have about your body. Because you know, if you let them hold you back life sort of passes you by."

Bollywood Style

Last night I watched Dhoom 2 at Amanda's. For her birthday party she made curry, naan, and rice. And then it was Bollywood time.

I don't know how to describe the experience. The main guy is VERY hot. Oh yes he is. The movie itself has it's cheesy parts but also it's fun action parts. Overall I sure did enjoy the movie experience.

Avatar The Last Airbender

There was A LONG wait in between season 2 and 3 but the creators are wonderful and gave us these little shorts to fill in the time (ok, more to not forget about Avatar, right?) And the other day I thought "I need to make sure those that love Avatar have seen these."
