What fitness challenge?

This has been one BAD week for the fitness challenge.  I think it's been because I've worked so much this week and didn't eat a whole lot.  So it's been tough.  And tonight I wanted rice krispie treats! 

I was talking to Kim via txt around 10-ish and I told her I'm coming over!  And then it was game time!

It was so delicious!! There goes two points... eating after 7:00 and it was so sweet.

I'll do better starting tomorrow.  Thanks Kim for letting me invade, it was fun!

It's a show that I catch every once in awhile but love.  In fact I'm currently watching it on demand right now.  My favorite part of the show is Barney.  He makes the show.  Him and his lasertagging in a suit goodness.  Actually he always wears a suit.  Suit up!

Back from Seattle

I'm back from Seattle.  Had a blast!  It was a gorgeous weekend.  Had some yummy food and some great shopping.  I'm not uploading pictures now because I'm just slow like that.  But I am catching up on Burn Notice and Project Runway.

I'm off to....

Seattle!  (well tomorrow that is)  I'm super excited!!

Catch up

Went and saw Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief today.  Loved it.

Percy was super cute.  I may have a new movie crush... at least he's legal!

On other news, my cousin Sherri created a fitness challenge that started today.  I have done very well today for day one.  I was hungry after the movie and it was either eat something reasonable after 7 or eat a candy bar after 7.  I chose the lesser evil and it was yummy and filling.

Avatar the Last Airbender - SUPER excited!!

I know there's going to be difference... like Zuko not having a scar on his face... but that's ok.  I'm going to go with it and I'm super excited.



But Derek and I both concur though... Uncle needs to be fatter.  I'm SUPER excited!!!

To Be or Not To Be

Wednesday night at the Elsinore Theatre I had the opportunity to see "To Be or Not To Be" which was made in 1942. 

It was SO funny!  It's one of the funniest movies I have EVER seen.  I want to see it again.

More creativity

So, I have had an idea in my head for a LONG time and last week I bought the items needed to make it in a reality.  Want to hear something funny?

This compass necklace that can be found here is my idea!  But not exactly.  This has a really cool charm about following your heart.

But when I make mine I want you all to know that I didn't copy, I've had the design in my head for YEARS.  I'm excited to make mine and yes I'm still making it.

Alexander McQueen

Secret Sister for Girl's weekend

The theme for the weekend was "My Favorites" so for my secret sister gifts I started with my actual favorites and then narrowed it down to what the person would like too.  I had Laura's name and here's what I did:

Day 1 - my favorite things to have in my purse.  Who doesn't love chapstick, gum and a notebook?  Day 4 - I made the heart scarf I designed, but I used a lighter thread.

Day 2 - One of my favorite books "The Count of Monte Cristo"  Luckily Kim started talking about this movie & book on her blog a couple days before we left.  I kept quiet, I thought it may throw Laura off.

Day 3 - I made this bracelet for Laura.  It's simple and I just love the bow.

Girl's Weekend

So I had a girls weekend at the coast this past weekend.  It was a lot of fun.  There was a lot of laughing, lots of movies, lots of food, and great times with Laura, Kim, and Sarah.

Many faces of Kim and she has a cool photographer eye. She's learned lots from Laura.  She steps ahead of me.  She'll see things that didn't even catch my eye.

We all love to use our camera and experiment.  Laura is a good inspiration.  It's funny that we all can take pictures of the same thing but they will all be different. 

We went to the lighthouse.  I was fine going up the stairs.  I freaked out coming down.

Tried my hand at copying Laura and trying to get a reflection pictures in the utensils.

Kim was my secret sister.  I would have found that out Sunday morning but instead I found out Friday morning.
