I've been creating a photo site through shutterfly to share photos of my travels that I don't place on here. It's still being created but it's available to be viewed if you want to.

New Monopoly

I just saw a commercial for the New Monopoly and there isn't cash, instead there are cards and an electronic piece that is used to credit / debit the funds.

It makes sense since our society seems to be getting away from cash and more into the credit / debit cards. But personally I think Monopoly isn't the same without the cash.... that's what makes it so fun, for me at least.

What do you think?

Update on Cream of Chicken Soup

Apparently I can get condensed Cream of Chicken soup. Mary told me she saw it in the store and it's NEXT to the soup. LOL

I am Number 4

You know, sometimes I say I'm number 4 or 4 of 6 (that's my Borg destination). I'm the fourth child with a birthmark shaped like a four. Spooky, I know!

Anyways, I want to read this book.... but will another book make my bag go over the weight limit?


Hmmm, carry-on maybe? Oh! I can read it on my plane! (when I'm not sleeping that is.)

There's already a movie being made and it was just being made into a movie and it was just released in August.

PS - it has Timothy Olyphant in it. :-)

What fitness challenge?

This has been one BAD week for the fitness challenge.  I think it's been because I've worked so much this week and didn't eat a whole lot.  So it's been tough.  And tonight I wanted rice krispie treats! 

I was talking to Kim via txt around 10-ish and I told her I'm coming over!  And then it was game time!

It was so delicious!! There goes two points... eating after 7:00 and it was so sweet.

Isn't this picture adorable?! Anna drew it for me tonight.

I'll do better starting tomorrow.  Thanks Kim for letting me invade, it was fun!

I read some shocking news after work today, Alexander McQueen had died.  I really enjoyed his designs.  I first discovered him with his Spring 2007 show.  LOVED it!  Here are some of my favorites from his various shows:

Police dress up as Batman and Robin to catch drugs suspect

Two policemen dressed as Batman and Robin captured a suspected drugs offender - in a bizarre sting operation.

The Dynamic Duo - Sgt Tony Smith and PC Mike Holman - pulled on the superhero outfits in a bid to unsettle the suspected baddies.

They pretended to be drunks looking for a fancy dress party and knocked on the door of the suspect's home.

Those inside refused to answer the door to the loud, comically dressed visitors - which was what the officers wanted.

Batman and Robin then went around the back of the property in Weymouth, Dorset, while seven uniformed officers went to the front door.

Those inside the house were PLEASED to see the policemen and complained to them about the fancy dress drunks. They then invited the officers in.

However, one of the men inside the house ran out of the back door on seeing the policeman - to where the superheroes were waiting for him.

Batman - Sgt Smith - gave chase, jumped over a fence and BIFF, POW, THWACK, arrested him.

PC Kevin Eames, said: "The people opened the door immediately and said that they had been alarmed by some drunken people in fancy dress in their garden.

"So the ruse was successful and we were let in."

Sgt Smith added: "Last year police officers dressed up as carol singers, which worked well.

"This was my first costumed acting experience.

"The Batman costume was quite comfortable and not too restricting. I still managed to jump over the fence.

"But it was difficult finding somewhere to put my CS spray. There was nowhere for the handcuffs, but then Batman does not need handcuffs."

PC Eames said: "The bad thing about the operation is that we had to endure hours of terrible puns from PC Holman."

A man aged 22 has been arrested and charged with a drugs offence. He is bailed to appear before Weymouth magistrates.

There were no charges against two other men found at the property.

The whole article brings a smile to my face but my favorite quote is this:

I about died at Costco the other day....

ARCHERY!!!

I'm taking an archery class! I've always wanted to learn.

At first I was horrible. The first two groups 1 out of 3 would always hit the wall. The second group went through the handle of the target to hit the wall. The instructor looked at and it said "That's never happened before." LOL

BUT I got better. None of the other groups hit the wall. My group of arrows got tighter together and by the end of class I was getting closer to the target I was looking at. (We weren't really aiming just yet. He just had us stare at a target.... aiming will come later.)

I really want a bow and arrow now... but I'm also very impulsive. But I can't practice if I don't have a bow and arrow!

Wicked!!!!!

I went and saw Wicked tonight...

I found out about Wicked several years ago and I've wanted to see it since.

It was in town and I wasn't going to miss this opportunity even if I didn't have anyone to go with; I figured if I wait to have someone to go with I'll never do anything. (Of course part of it may be my anti-social tendencies... I have no idea when I picked those up.)

So I grabbed Edward and we took a trip to Portland. Edward, of course, was in charge of the music we listened to. He has such good taste...

I grabbed a bite to eat at PF Chang's before the show... I so love that restaurant. And when we finally arrived Edward couldn't wait to go in!

But we had to patiently wait outside until they opened the doors. Edward kept trying to run in because he's so super fast, so I put him back in my purse until he would behave himself.

Edward loved the show so much that he's now trying to seduce the Witch. I feel so used.

I took a class...

and learned how to decorate cakes with fondant. (and how to make it) It was so much fun!

Look, I did it all by myself. Thanks 5th ward!

Yeah, yeah, yeah.... I know I'm a little behind in posting some pictures. Never fear I'll get to them... eventually.
