I love my hat!

Back in November when my friends were here visiting (and while it rained) we visited the Saturday Market in Portland.  Back in March 2008 when I visited the Saturday Market there was this vendor that sold hats made from men's dress shirts and they were super cute!  I didn't get one because "I'll buy one next time I'm up here."  Of course that never happened.  So I was looking for, but sadly she wasn't there.  I'm going to go up when it opens again for this year and hopefully she'll be there!

But anyways, I did find this little old lady that made these super cute hats.

It may have been a tad bit expensive but I've discovered something.  When you make stuff you have an appreciation for other handmade items.  You understand that fabric is not cheap and making things takes TIME.  So the price for the hat was actually understandable in my opinion.  Besides being super cute, the selling factor was this is probably her only income besides social security.  If I see her again I may buy more hats.
