Alaska - Matanuska Glacier

I'm not doing a whole lot of talking with this one cause the pictures speak louder than I could.

This is from the road as we were driving on the mountainous road

If you visit Alaska after the break-up (a.k.a summer) you can walk out on the glacier. It was EXTREMELY muddy (the mud will steal your shoes muddy!) and there was still snow to about the knee on the path. We could still walk out to it but it was at our own caution. We decided not to. But we were still able to enjoy the beauty of the glacier.

Prior to heading out to the glacier we attended Sacrament meeting at Steve's ward, at the end the Stake President spoke for a few moments and it helped me figure some things out that have been bothering me. Here's what he spoke about:

Forget the past - let go of past things that didn't work, focus on the positive things that did work.

Live in the present - focus on the positive

Look forward to the future

I had an epiphany in Alaska and this helped me have it :-)

Steve took this picture while we were waiting to enter the glacier. He did a good job, huh?

That glacier is so magestic and breath-taking! And I agree with Laura ~ I love when it feels like the talk is directly addressed to you!

Talk ? The ice doesn't talk, just creeks and cracks.
