Attempt at Baking

The other night I made those no-bake drop cookies and I was worried that I did it wrong because they were too gooey.

But then I discovered I was just to impatient. I thought they would set-up / cool quickly because it was so cold but I was wrong. I tried them the following day and they were perfect!

PS - yes that is tin foil instead of wax paper. I don't currently have wax paper... I don't judge you!

PPS - does it count as baking if these are "no-bake" cookies?

Edit - Here's the recipe I use, it's my old roomie's (Angie) recipe (I've heard these cookies called "no-bake", "brownie nuggets", "reindeer drops", etc)

2 C Sugar
1/4 C Cocoa
1/2 C Milk
1 stick of butter (which is 1/2 cup or 1/4 pound or 113.5 grams)
1 t Vanilla
3 C Oatmeal
1/2 C Peanut Butter

Mix sugar and cocoa. Then add milk and butter. Boil in a large sauce pan for 2 - 5 minutes. Add vanilla and peanut butter. Stir well and then add oatmeal. Spoon onto wax paper and let cool.

I've never heard of a no-bake cookie before. Is it like marshmallow treat stuff?

I should've made THOSE the other day! Brandon loves those. Dang. And I just used the rest of our cocoa on some crap brownies yesterday, i was so disappointed. As soon as I cut through them, POOF (and Brandon asks if they really made that sound but my own POOF was so loud I don't know if it really did). But it collapsed. Our dinner guests brought them home so they must've been good....oh well.

Yumm! Those are making me hungry! I'm going to substitute the milk and butter with my non-dairy lovelies and make them vegan. My boys will be so happy with me!
Thanks for posting the recipe!!
Love you!
