Snow!!

I've had my first snow fall! Friday night I remembered that we were "supposed to" wake up to snow Saturday morning, so I decided to do a quick check. Sure enough it was snowing! (And the wind was blowing hard too!) Wow, the weather was correct!

This morning I headed out to church with a very light snow coming down. (No biggie it's really light, right?) It took us a little longer than normal to get to Hamilton so I ended up missing my 2nd bus. I waited. As I waited the snow fell harder and harder.

And I waited... and waited.... the time came for the next bus but there wasn't one. I thought "It's probably just running a bit behind." And I waited.

I was debating about finding a taxi or waiting another few minutes when a walker stopped and told me he didn't think the bus was coming because of the hill we were on. I told him I was thinking just that and I thought about finding a taxi. I knew where the taxis were (by the bus station) but he walked me across the street to the stairs leading down to the bus station and told me the taxis are usually down there. He was so nice!

As I descended the stairs I got a call from the Bishop that we're just going to have Sacrament and he'll arrange for me to be picked up. This ward is awesome!

When we get to the church I'm still in my jeans so I go change into my skirt. Only to find out that when the Bishop said we're only having Sacrament he meant that. Not Sacrament meeting. So they were waiting on me! Oopsie!

I was invited over to have dinner at the Bishop's house. Oh they're a nice family! I don't think I can tell you exactly how nice this family is - they're amazing.

Dinner was very good! But I felt bad because I didn't finish everything - you know me, I stop when I'm full. I wonder if all meals start with soup? At Susan's for thanksgiving she made soup to start off the meal (but it wasn't ready so she had us start without it) and tonight also started with soup. It's like a full course meal! There was a lot of food tonight. I wonder if every meals are like this or if it was just because there were guests at their home?

I'm writing this at 6:30pm but it's only 10:30am back home. Weird! Ok, let me tell you something. When I was video chatting with my family Thursday night / Friday morning and I saw Lach get excited when he saw me and then when he said "blah blah blah miss you" and told me that he loved me my heart melted. And don't be thinking he's my favorite, he's just the one I worried about because he's the youngest and I didn't want him to forget me. :-)

PS - I just re-read this and oh my goodness the end of the post is.... it's just me rambling.... and very random. Oh well!

Your experiences are great. It is okay for a heart to melt. When you see him again, he will remember you. Love you.

I told you: A little bit of snow, and the buses stop running!!

We have about 12 inches of snow up here today :) Thankfully I'm not working today and don't have to go anywhere, but Hubby was starting work at 6am and struggled getting to Larkhall. He got there eventually though.
