So this one time...

I left early for class last night because I had to stop at Remnant Kings to buy some basic sewing supplies for my hat making class. Once I arrived in Hamilton I realized that I've only had breakfast today and I was hungry. There's a takeaway place across the street of Remnant Kings so I figured I'd stop by.... but I really wanted a cheeseburger or a hamburger, unfortunately I didn't have time to hunt one down.

I was ecstatic when I saw "Hamburger" on their menu. Yes! She tells me that it'll be a few moments and the meal comes with two. I can wait a few minutes but there's no way I can eat two hamburgers and the chips. I asked for one and she said "we have one ready." Then she pulls out one hamburger patty that has been battered and deep fried. Of course! I should have known. My dreams of having a hamburger with a bun and some fixings went out the window.

I asked for one without the batter. And as a bonus since I had to wait she gave me two (I can eat two now since there's no bun). LOL

And speaking of my hat making class - I'm LOVING it!

I started a work book, containing what I like (which I'm still creating) so my teacher can look at the book and help me decide what I should make through the course. One of my top likes is the vintage style riding hats. If you've seen Northanger Abbey she's wearing one when they go out riding and it rains on them. They're look a bit like top hats, but they're not as high. Anyways since I don't have a printer I was drawing the hats that I liked in my workbook & the teacher said my drawings were beautiful. Ah, that made me feel good.

Sorry I went on a tangent, my whole point is she said I'll be able to create a riding hat! It's not too advanced for a beginner! And I'm also going to make a cloche hat. My goal is to make a couple hats using the different techniques so I can have some hands on experiences with each technique.

A couple people have asked me for pictures and don't worry I'll post them as soon as I have a hat to take photos of!
