We didn't know if these were young bald eagles or hawks. But when I got home and enlarged the pictures I saw some of the "hawks" had white feathers on their heads. I looked them up and by the time the youngins mature they have the white head and tails. It takes 5 years for the youngins to fully mature. The Homer dump did not disappoint. Need help to identify.... Steve saw this thing on the Outside Beach and it was moving! Does anyone know what this is? Steve wondered if it could be part of a starfish or something.... there was a smaller piece not too far from this one but it wasn't moving. Any ideas?
