Last November...

My friends, Kim and Tyla, came up for a visit. Well, some may say down since we're at a lower elevation than Salt Lake City, but I say up because we're north on the map. :-)

We had a fun time and I'm terribly slow at uploading pictures of our adventure. (sorry guys!) Anyway, here's the lowdown of our grand time!

There was a storm a-brewing at the coast and there was a warning stay away due to the severe storm. So I declared we needed to go. (Yay stormy waves!) Last year the ocean in the Pacific Northwest was very foamy for some reason... doesn't it look like marshmallow fluff?

High tide was coming in very rough, the police were making sure people weren't parking too close. There was foam off of the sidewalk and actually into the parking lot.
That's Tyla and Kim - they're some funny girls! After watching the rough seas come in we decided to get something to eat at Mo's! I was starving and so happy that there were crackers.

I then decided to do a self-portrait with Kim ....

... don't ask.... LOL!

After lunch we needed some desert, so off to Captain Dan's Pirate Pastry Shop.

Then off to the Newport Aquarium!

A sea otter flirted with Kim. She has the pheromones because this guy was showing off for her!

In the end, Kim showed her love for pirates and Sea Otters.

Kim LOVES bacon! Which meant I had to take her to Voodoo Donuts for a bacon maple bar!

Tyla and I just had "normal" donuts. I only like cake donuts, so I go for their devils food cake donuts. Yum!
Yummy donuts! We enjoyed a rainy day at the Saturday Market. We may have had to go shopping for dry shoes and gloves for our nightly activity. (It was a cold day!) And I sure love Tyla's Himalayan hooker boots. (they're high and furry)

That night we did a Portland Beyond Bizarre tour, which included some touring with a k-2 meter to detect anomalies which may or may not be ghosts.

Tyla made sure Kim wasn't an anomaly. The test is still inconclusive. :-)

Awesome and fun photos - that foam is insane!
Love Captain Dan - wonder if he has any vegan morsels? :-)
