I headed out the door on Monday (taking out the trash) and saw it snowing quite a bit and thought "uh-oh." You see, I seem to be getting less snow than my friends so I figured if it was snowing a lot for me then it must pretty bad in other areas... and sure enough it was. My friend Mary was stuck on the motorway for about 18 hours (click her name to check out her blog post about it).
From my understanding the snow hit during rush hour and caused a gridlock. But it wasn't just snow it was like blizzard conditions and several motorways closed due to the snow and ice.
So, Tuesday morning I walked to the store to get some milk and bread and I was walking on frozen snow, it must have gotten really cold Monday night. My bus operator wasn't running at all yesterday, so there went my Christmas shopping plans. So glad I have food! And so glad that the Spar was opened today so I could get milk and bread (and some chocolate... what? I'm addicted.)
As I walked to the store I thought the snow looked pretty cool, it was like frost was on the snow... I thought it was interesting:
You have to love the spiderweb!
