Update

Hola amigos!

I feel a little spanish today because I'm missing my mexican sista! (Wish you were traveling with me! Oh that would be a blast!)

Job hunting isn't going so well. It's like half of the application I have to leave blank because it's asking what Scottish certificates and other scottish things I have. I'm like "No~ne... I have American stuff though..." It's discouraging.

I was told that there are several call centers and people are pretty sure they're hiring, but I can't do that. I have a hard enough time understanding some accents in person and it's worse over the phone. And I mean it's really bad over the phone.... it's actually quite amusing if you think about it. I've concluded that my listening skills need help.

Anyways, a couple of weeks ago I emailed my family and friends and told them that if nothing changes that I'll be coming home in April. Derek emailed me back with a "You have no idea how happy this email made me." LOL He's so funny, he's been ready for me to come home since day 1.

It has dawned on me though, that since I sent that email I haven't been job hunting anymore. I think I've gotten so discouraged that I gave up on it. And honestly I'm so sick of being lonely (I think this has been my biggest contributing factor). I've had a blast, it's beautiful here, and I've met amazing people. It's just that I haven't met anyone that I can hang out with. (And it doesn't help that I'm a wee bit shy.... ok, more than a wee bit.)

I miss calling a friend at 11:00 at night being like "I'm bored. Wanna watch a movie?" Or "Hey let's go to Seattle this weekend." I miss hanging out.

You know, I love "me time", I love that I'm completing unfinished projects, I love that I'm seeing great things and have awesome experiences.... but it's all on my own. There comes a time that too much "me time" is enough! I think I passed that line a month ago! LOL So I think since I'm not doing anything to change the current situation it's safe to say I'll be coming home in April.

I've been working on my list of things to complete and see before I leave Scotland.

And on another note - I cannot believe January is over! That went fast.

PS - I'm still post-processing my Edinburgh pictures so I'll be posting those soon. I know I've said that before but I swear!

That's right Ardith! And I'm ready for the next phase of my life - I have a couple of Universities to look into.

I can't wait to see your photos.
I can't wait to see more jewelry.
I can't wait to see your hat!
I'll be patient. Maybe....
