Anyways I have a confession to make I love Pride and Prejudice, Emma, North and South, Jane Eyre, and Persuasion (you get the picture, right?) BUT I've only seen the movies... I haven't read these books.
On the bright side, I do want to read them and in fact I've compiled a list of books to read:
- Jane Eyre
- Pride and Prejudice
- Emma
- Persuasion
- Little Dorrit
- Les Miserables
- Tess of the D'Ubervilles
- Wuthering Heights
- Middlemarch
- The Picture of Dorian Gray
- North and South (I've started this one and I'm about half-way through it BUT I've been half-way for awhile)
- Sense and Sensibility
- The Great Gatsby
Question to my literary friends - Anything else I should add to my list?

I started to read Les Miserables when we were on our trip to eastern Europe, let me just say, Victor Hugo is a bit wordy. It's good but wordy ;)
I love your list...I am going to have to follow it!!! I love these movies and books! Pride and Prejudice...was fantastic!! I loved it! I watched it twice in two day!!!
Vanity Fair. Fantastic book. Good movie too, but the book is always better ;)
I think you should add Shane to the list. I have DVD for you to watch after you read the book. Alan Ladd is Shane. Love you.
